Childhood's Last Days Poem by Amy Marie

Childhood's Last Days

Rating: 5.0

Six months to live have I now –
In my fading white dress –
Of Innocence.

Imagination places on me –
A caring silky hand of Youth –
And smiles flatly.

Blowing are her blonde waves of hair –
In gentle winds of Destiny –
While sweetly her perfume

The air permeates. I let settle –
One last sweetness of my friend –
On my wrinkled lips.

What coats my slim frame –
But warm silky sheets –
Surrounding my silence.

Oh Imagination! Live on –
My departure –
Is no reason for yours!

Hi Amy, Wonderful to see the young generation among poetry. Finely worded poem on the thoughts, What coats my slim frame – But warm silky sheets – Surrounding my silence. A poem touching the readers' hearts, directly speaking to one's emotions. Well done. A full 10..
