Childhood Memories Poem by Marilyn Lott

Childhood Memories

Rating: 5.0

As I look way back in time
Such memories come to me
Like scenes from a movie
I see my life within my family

Children romping like puppies
In the snow about knee deep
I love those snow memories
They are treasures that I keep

My parents did their very best
To keep us clothed and fed
We said our prayers every night
Before we went to bed

Grandma and Grandpa I can see
As plain as if it were today
I loved to spend time at their home
Sometimes I’d even stay

Oh yes, out in the country farm
Was a pleasant time for me
And now, so many years later
I treasure those childhood memories!
