Childhood Love Poem by Mellisa Salazar

Childhood Love

Rating: 5.0

When I was a kid,
the tv screen in our living room was so black,
I could see myself in it,
even when the tv was on,
even when super heroes thwarted villains
I saw myself watching,
even when they lived happily ever after
I saw myself watching
Somehow behind the image
Somehow in front of it
When I saw them kiss
I saw the look in their eyes
Flowers beckoned on nature shows
as I gazed at my own reflection from the couch
Feeling and somehow remembering,
a thing I never had

Nature's experience and beauty of hope all are associated with childhood's memory. We remember every incidence of the past. This is a brilliant poem...10
