Childhood Poem by Rolls Royce

Childhood

Stuck in memories
Yearning for those
Merry days past
Those glorious times
Never forgotten but
Too good to last

Sneaking off to play
Leaving doors unlocked
Jumping off of roofs
Splashing in rivers
Climbing gnarled trees
Swinging on banyan roots

Painting foolishness
Reading voraciously
Mystery detecting
Chasing butterflies
Teasing the cats
Dancing and singing

Watching Star Trek
Shoestring, Old Fox,
Sherlock Holmes,
Alone in leisure
That childhood
The best I've known
