Child's Play Poem by Kevin Parkin

Child's Play

Living in a world
Alone, serene
Uncaring.
Unknowingly accepting dangers
Unquestioning
Unnerving
Daring, braving
Foolish.
Words tossed carelessly
Shouted defiantly
carelessly
into the wind, denying
subtleties.
Blond hair thrown back
in unkempt disarray.
Reaching for a hidden pistol
'You're dead, ' as he points.
