Child In Me Poem by Sierra Staten

Child In Me

Do not cry now, my little child,
The pain has almost been released,
Such a shame, all those times you smiled,
And resulting you soon shall be deceased.

A painful killer, this loneliness,
A silent death, in fact.
But now, my child, It's harmonious,
To be gone for that which lacked.

Fear not, child, I will hold you,
As I have always done,
I know your time is long since due,
And I know the process has begun.

Child, Child, Listen now,
You will not be alone,
For that is what I can't allow,
As together we have grown.

We are one and we are passed,
A lesson learned- Good Never Lasts
