the pawn
the smallest part
makes the move
that shall
determine the end
of this game
the pillar
slithers
glides
across this array
of black and white
they plan
they conspire
they succeed
the king
the head of all
trapped
helpless
drops his sword
now at the mercy
of the victorious
check mate!
