Chasm Of Silence Poem by Seema Jayaraman

Chasm Of Silence

Rating: 4.8

And yet this unexplainable distance
the roar of this deafening silence
sudden chasm that widens and separates
the gnawing in my heart unexpressed
What must I do my love to come closer
how wish a ropeway heart to heart bridge
as this Everest of yearning silently grows
and yet the chasm of silence widens on.

At a time when we need to build bridges between warring factions of society, there is a deafening silence of those in power. Amazing thoughts put into words. Thanks. A quote: how wish a ropeway heart to heart bridge ...and yet the chasm of silence widens on.

as this Everest of yearning silently grows and yet the chasm of silence widens on. This is an amazingly written couplet. the pain of a lover's heart is revealed craftily.
