Characterized By Idiosyncrasies Poem by Trevor Schulte

Characterized By Idiosyncrasies

Rating: 5.0

Sitting still
not a finger moving
but conforming all the same
Pressure pushes perfection
from the simplistic mind
Diminished in my presence
is my importance
but left is my
artificial self
built merely on others'
opinions
Facade after facade
breaking down
Stop, individualize
the Idealism Movement
catching butterfly-thoughts
in the net of idiosyncrasies
Fixating myself
as a revolutionary
Then and only then
is my soul deepened
and my step lengthened
