Chaos Growing Poem by Darian McDonald

Chaos Growing

Rating: 5.0

the world is consumed by chaos
Chaos guised as normality
Hearts of man long in the process of decay
To be honorable and humble, uncommon
Sycophants run rampant unknowingly
Ignorant of how shameful their lives are
Where are the magnanimous for us to tell stories of great deeds and merits
Who is left to carry on the principles of benevolence and empathy
with every new generation increasingly afflicted by petty upbringings
Sheltered from the hardships that let us truly appreciate the good in life
Taught to love oneself over selflessness to loved ones
we thought the world would never betray us
but we are quick to betray the world for minor gains
The human race is shamed and disgraced
All hope for redemption is not lost however
for i am which that this world needs the most
