Change Poem by Brandon Shutter

Change

Rating: 5.0

I’m yearning for change like a hug needed deep,
Burdened by secrets that I shouldn't have to keep
My thoughts are confused like a pattern unknown
And for all I got there is so much I don’t know.

You've taken my sleep, but you’re not taking my dreams.
When I close my eyes, instead of darkness I see sunbeams.
The future calls out to me, a sweet sound of serenity
I open my arms and welcome the change anxiously.
