Raindrops Poem by Brandon Shutter

Raindrops

Rating: 5.0

Staring out the window just
watching the clouds float by
a thought enters my mind
and it makes me want to cry.

Raindrops hit the awnings
playing a soothing lullaby
It makes me start to think
about times that have gone by.

I remember when I saw you
for that very first time.
You were perfect I remember
in your body, mind and drive.

I remember when we were dancing
and kissing in the rain
We had not a care in the world
it was only you and I.

Time kept flowing, days kept passing by
memories made of magic,
myself a twinkle in your eye.

But alas those days have passed,
but still my love remains,
my mood cool and somber
like the rain that hits my window panes.

I find myself outside,
looking up at the sky
Raindrops hitting my face
soothing me in it’s cool embrace.

I remember when I met you,
I remember us in the rain.
My feelings will last forever
timeless as our first embrace.
