Chameleon Men Poem by Raken Marimuthu

Chameleon Men

Rating: 5.0

The chameleon is thousands times better than the men
For it shows its true color to the world as who it is
For it changes its color to camouflage itself from predators
But beware of the human pretenders who are like chameleon
Moment by moment they will change for anything
When it is wine they will swoon to swear on earth
With women they will be the Romeos’ of romance
If it is wealth they will betray even their mother and father
Such is the state of some men who live in falsehood
Their evil heart camouflaged in their sweet words
Their beguiling eyes hidden in their sweet smile
Their rotten mind shielded by their false relationship
Sometimes you can’t understand their hidden intent
They will live with you, eat with you and sleep with you
When the time comes they will stab you like Brutus
And will explain that it’s God’s will that you must die
For this is the world of love and lust, wealth and stealth
Friends will betray, wives will cuckold, and values will wither
Brothels will rule, tyrants will be in ruling power
The illiterate will control the good men of the world
All will pretend to save this world as proclaimed saints
The wheel has come to an end and all must soon end
This is the reality of life that we need to learn in this world
To discern the good from the bad and make our life safe
