Celebrators Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Celebrators

Labyrinth of ghosts
We see the rainbow dance
Blake was open
Huxley on the cover of Sergeant Pepper
Parley in the desert
Serpents crawl like trains and guns
Prince of Persia fights Michael
Spears and moccasins in museums

Wrinkled faces gone but there
Legions have stepped on their land
The sane flags fly like piss in the wind
Divided up and hammered like a nail
Come my love and hold me
Opiates and sex
Symbols of the great pagan temples
Laughter as mad as Nero

My darling we are between the kingdoms
Between the wars
In love like living commodities
Choice is divine
Clutching life boats
Drowning in the morass of a web
Love is between the cherubim's
Between two thieves

Can you feel the ghosts?
Amidst the angels and demons
Movements turn to monuments
Idealism is a new movie
Fixtures as old as exorcisms
We suck on golden nipples
Religions of the state
Celebrators of the dragon rule
