Caves Poem by Connor David Christopher Brown

Caves

Silence stands alone outside,
isolated in a shallow mountain,
inside silence seems to have died,
and only darkness rules inside.

But wait! what's that?
It drips like a tap,
it glistens in a small light,
but my hope is just a crack.

I explore my worst nightmare,
cautious as I step,
one false move,
and my fate is eternal rest.
