Cat's View From A Garden Shed Poem by Paula Glynn

Cat's View From A Garden Shed

The gorgeous white cat sits on the garden shed
Blue and green cat's eyes watching all the flocking birds
With piercing vision, yearning to hunt them
Wishing them chased to become dead
Her sharp and vicious cat claws to rip out
Their tiny beating bird heart
Yearning to bare those teeth and rip those wings apart.

The handsome grey male cat sits on the garden shed
Wishing to be comfortable indoors instead
His eyes dark green knowing all seen
Even in the darkness of night
His eyes clear with vision and clarity
Knowing every movement in the dark
Wandering through the darkened play park.

A ginger cat sits on the garden shed
Fending for food from generous humans
Although she does not feel appreciation
The ginger cat does not offer thanks
Instead hungrily eating her food
From Dreamies to Vital Cat feeding sticks
Her sensitive cat tongue needing meat to survive.

A pure black cat sits on the garden shed
Pure superstition that she is a witch's cat
Her shocking black fur many do prefer
Witches not excluded from their spiritual protection
For black cats can be lucky for many
Their magical powers maybe not imagined
For the black cat does see predators in the dark.

A multi-coloured striped cat sits on the garden shed
Waiting for affection, waiting to be fed
His needs include milk and cheese
He is all too easy to please, also loving Dreamies
A tasty cat treat, for all it takes is a shake
A cat happy and very much pleased
A happy day for all cats being achieved.
