Carry On Poem by Clarisse Sobiono

Carry On

The bus was suddenly filled with unfamiliar faces
Outside the rain starts pouring
Sweat dripping hands
The look of indifference and wildered thoughts

You wouldn't find it
Not today, no
Push harder and stop at limits
Befriend yourself more

Don't listen to music
You would look unapproachable
Go home, unapproached
Blast a song, cry alone

You got friends, they changed
You got dreams, but you changed
Tired and hopeless, you thought
Everyday is a struggle to carry on

Be confused of why you deserve this
Try to not get used of the loneliness
Feel every pain and pin it like a badge
To your ever empty life

Write every word you have drawn from your heart
No, it wouldn't lighten it
Write every word and it would become a laughingstock
Maybe not tomorrow, but when it's already okay

When it's already okay, as it will be
Now, you're not certain and you're not letting yourself be
Just sit there and comprehend
That all of this makes the two of us
