Carefully Willful Poem by lamia harker

Carefully Willful

i slip a little poison
into your thoughts as you sleep
i want you to wake with sweetness
on your tongue
and your heart filled with me

clouded eyes
bright with fevered
love
and it's enough
to make me smile
even if it's wrong...
to have you gone would hurt to much
even if it's forced..
even if it's to much...

i need you
so i can sleep
breathe
live
in a world
where once or twice
i can fail without
blame
