Care Poem by Shawn Johnson

Care

Rating: 4.6

I'm there for her,
I care for her.
Oh, does she know?
Does she care?
Can't she hear the moans and cries when I sleep?

I can't sleep knowing she's not okay.
I can't sleep knowing she's hurt inside.

When she's sad,
I die inside.
When she's mad,
I cry inside.

I'd do anything for her,
because that's what caring is.
Or is it something more?
.. Something that just can't escape my caring heart?

This is a very focused writing. There is a natural repetition that should stick in the mind of the reader. I gave this poem my recommendation vote of 8. GW62
