Captured Now. Poem by Amberley Rhyne.

Captured Now.

If tears could wash away the dishonesty,
Then my world would be clean,
If regret could make right my wrongs,
Then rightness of the world would be seen.

But wishes cannot make things right,
And heartbreaks can only unfold,
A road I won't take again,
A future I will not hold.

Sin's cannot be undone,
Memories that age and grow,
The painfull heartbeat of my lie,
Is the only punishment I know.

But those whi I've sinned against,
Evil plans to which I bow,
Revenge lick's her lip's,
Another soul she has captured now.
