Captain's Call

Rating: 5.0

Captains built up the world
never expecting it to fail.
For the pay,
they asked for
and were given
reduction of standards along the way.

Now, with failure in eye,
from that reduction,
captains are being asked to flip,
and ones who deny
are calling,
'We'd rather go down with our ship.'

This sounds strangely like a Prime Minister's call. Good poem.
