Maybe inside you
I can find some solace
Maybe beside you
I can be at peace
How did I find you?
When I wasn’t looking…
Maybe next to you
I can dream again
If I can hold you
I can sleep again
How did it come to be?
For you and me…
In your company
I won’t be afraid
If you can comfort me
I’ll have it made
What was it that changed
That sunny day
When you smiled at me
In the month of May…
Will you still my rage?
Quench my thirst,
Forget my age,
And put me first?
Will you lighten my sadness?
And help me to smile,
Fill my world with gladness,
And walk beside me all the while,
Can you do all these things?
Will you give them a whirl?
And I’ll show what you mean to me…
My sweet and loving girl…
