Call To Me The Sinner Poem by Rubaba Mmahajia Rahma Sabtiu

Call To Me The Sinner

Call to me the sinner
I told the long legged
Then he had gone searching for the killer
The guy who murdered the miller
He went into the prisons
To bring to me the robber
The one who stole that rubber
He jogged the dark streets
Seeking the fornicator
And to find the adulterer
He looked for that lady
The one who showed that body
Then the slanderer and the backbiter
Then the liar and the hypocrite
So he had come back jogging and sweating
I had kept wondering and smiling
So much trouble for the long legged
Yet was the sinner not near?
Call to me the sinner
I told the deep minded
But in front of me he sat
The sinner was nowhere but here
But here it is only he and I
So who is the sinner?
To him and I he pointed
And so the deep minded was true
