Call Me A Knight... Poem by Elizabeth Hefty

Call Me A Knight...

Rating: 5.0

Call me a knight,
Clad in rusted armour.
I fight demons,
Mine and yours;
I fight through the walls of thorns
Fate has thrown up between us.
I fight to breathe;
I fight to survive.
Yet no-one fights for me.
No-one slays my dragons,
No-one unchains me from these rocks.
So I keep fighting alone,
Till my very last breath
Knowing no-one will ever save
Me.

This is superb and so deep and thought-provoking. And about that good old fashioned human trait self- preservation so beautifully written. Thank you once again Elizabeth,10+++ and added this to my poem list. And your good self to my favourite poets list. I thank you again. Take Care.

I would fight everyone and everything for my love. A great poem.
