Caliginous Spring Poem by Debasis Chatterjee

Caliginous Spring

Out of my mind the world is in rapturous jollity
In cheer of spring
Benevolence smiling,
Fragrant flowers welcoming
The blissful expanse of love, romance, the zealous piety…

Inside, time passes in gloomy sprain,
With solitary burn the heart cringes in strain…

Amid bright sunshine, exuberant landscape and felicity
And laughter abound
All around

In inelastic laceration of squeezing aches in love and singularity
I walk on dead…

Caliginous Spring
