Calendar Poem by Anthony Dover

Calendar

January, missionary waiting in the doorway,
Oblique planes of superreal ice,
Lethe drunk and withered fronds,
February, hearts a quiver,
Jojoba freshness and glimli,
Gargoyles awaken Spring,
March full hilt leaves,
Kephler rings and ungrieve,
Nullify waters and swift flowing stream
April, desirous and unkempt,
Pattering and soothing,
Heightened power and passing hour,
May, is when destiny comes,
Slots into place, keeping with the pace,
Trumpet of tension, dimension,
June, is petal perfect, warmer,
And whiter sky, butterflies,
Dream and hovers the bee,
July is live or die,
Meeting of minds,
Lovers cry,
August is for teaching,
The necessary prepare,
The lessening of yellow,
September is golden, gilted and full,
Richness, ripeness and fulfill,
Autumn of won, one and moon,
Waxes and wanes in the purple,
Evening sky,
November is nothing,
Needless and heedless,
An in-betweener and a seam,
December at last, mission fulfilled,
Cheers of Noel, unto Special Realm,
Crispness and the start of another,
Year.
