Cakes and Quilts are similar
Both are made for coziness
Colorful and delightful too
Sometimes with a lot of fuss

You can cuddle up with a quilt
And at the very same time
Have a piece of delicious cake
So many flavors for you to find

Designs, well there’s no end
For whatever one wants to make
You can choose a plain or fancy quilt
And the same with the kind of cake

They are both used for making money
To collect for a very good charity
A swarm of folks will enjoy them
All done with a sense of clarity

Talent has a lot to do as well
With how well each one turns out
Deft hands and plenty of time
Gives the artist a whole lot of clout

You know, there’s another similarity
And that’s contests for either one
So if you find a quilt or a cake contest
Remember, both are enormous fun!
