Cage Poem by Don Pearson

Cage

I have crafted my own cage
and locked myself within.
Sometimes April’s warmth
breathes on me
and I regret that my lack of trust
denies the possibility
of Summer.

I shall rise no more.

you have crafted your own cage, but i know you can get out of it, because what's inside of your heart is the key that will unfold your eyes to see the beautiful summer. it is a good short poem. i invite you to read my poems. :)
