Cafeteria Religious Poem by Megan Lynn Schreiber

Cafeteria Religious

I see religion as a cafeteria
So many options
Its not wrong to explore
Am I greedy for wanting them all?
I want the peace of Buddhism
The balance of Taoism
The dedication of Islam
The meditation of Hinduism
The love for God of Christianity
The love for nature of Wicca
The oneness with the universe of Scientology
Why must I only choose one
When they are all so interesting?
I pick and choose from each religion
What fits me best
I believe in something
But I don’t believe in it all
I believe in something
But I want them all
My religion is belief
I just want to coexist
