Butterfly And Flowers, Doves And Loves Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Butterfly And Flowers, Doves And Loves

Will I in dreams, begin to cherish
The sight of you for whom I now wish
To be so etched on this memory's mind
A love so distant and so hard to find?

I am one among many that you behold
As your heart's capacity to love unfolds
There lies so many rooms for your other loves
A romantic collection of wandering doves.

And yet you will say, 'you are different'
Wished the difference would make love permanent!
For the ways of new love these modern times
Cause pain in the heart in uncertainty's prime..

No ties and no promises will ever be made
Perhaps in another time the bond will be laid
Another dream metamorphosed to beauty
Will birth the butterfly of our Reality.
