Burnning Down Wonderland Poem by Jessica Elizondo

Burnning Down Wonderland

Let's burn down wonderland
for no such tale exsist.
No happiness,
no heart felt scenes.
Ha, ha. I laugh at wonderland!
Burn it down and you shall see,
it was all a hoax to you and me.
Burn it down and never look back,
run Alice, run from the pretty pictures they try to paint.
They lie Alice, and as the clock ticks,
another one leaves their mouths.
Burn it all down and dance around the ashes watch the fire glow.
And now you know.
No such fairly tale.
No heart felt scenes,
run Alice and break the seams,
a puppet no longer, don't listen to them all,
run Alice run
Cause we're burnnin' down the walls.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Realistic yet dismal outlook on life. I feel like the world is just a fake sometimes. Like nothing good is left anymore. I really like your poem, there seems to be a lot of angst in it.

the world can be a wonderland or a burned down forest, it all depends on how you look at it. good job though.
