Burned Poem by Libby Legris

Once you've been hurt, you can never turn back,
Because I know that at somepoint
Something I tell you or something you see
Is going to be too much
And then you'll run away from me
Screaming as you go.

Once you've been burned, you can never cover up that scar
Because one thing for sure
You'll feel ashamed as you think.
While you try to find a way to make it disappear
Just always remember
It holds value memories.
