Every day there is
More names in the obituaries
If this keeps up, it seems to me
They'll be no room left in cemeteries
But I do believe these days
More people are being cremated
Some people may not agree
That doesn't mean their thinking is outdated
I know the way it used to be
Was a large elaborate funeral
But now-a-days many people think
That cremation is just as suitable
I myself would like
To burn in a funeral pyre
Maybe if all goes right
The flames will take me higher
Whether you're buried or cremated
Your soul will still rise
It happens at the time of death
But I'm sure that's no surprise
