Bullseye Poem by Ray Hansell

Bullseye

I received your card
Today in the mail
I opened it fast
Without fail

There was a picture
With snow falling down
There were your words
They said, I'll see you around

So I guess it's goodbye
That you are saying
While at the same time
My heart you are slaying

But I must thank you
For being so honest
You never lead me on
With any false promise

You were so truthful
Right from the start
But truth always hurts
When it hits in the heart
