Burdens Poem by Rita Shay

Burdens

Rating: 2.8

Failure that drags at my feet.
Sorrow that slumps my shoulders.
Anger that clamps my fist.

Loneliness that chases me everywhere.
Worry that wrinkles my face.
Fear that grasps my soul.

Regret that wallows in my gut.
Misery that trickles down my face.
And death that never stops calling me.

Burdens come and they go
Some fast and some slow.

All I can do is wait and hope,
That some happiness comes my way
And tells those burdens they cannot stay.

Burdens cannot stay forever. You can share some of them with others. Happiness is on it's way to yourself. Stick to your hopes!
