Bullet In The Gun. Poem by ekul leets

Bullet In The Gun.

A bleary night of sand and fright a desert night be full of fright.
A soldier stares with eyes of old a young heart beats with memories scold.
Too many friends have seen the light, the light of plight, it ends their life.
He knows the way with enemies running, when bullets start coming the fear is rumbling.
His heart beats faster with disaster another friend drops theirs no more laughter.
Blood is pouring, 'Help him! ' they scream, the soldier is frozen more fear than he needs.
You see sometimes you need the fear to survive, to thrive on the fear to keep you alive. But too much on edge brings fear my son, so much fear that you feel that you can not go on.
There is too much fear in this young man's eyes, it seems he has died before he's alive.
This bullet is meant to protect you my son, but fear makes the bullet shoot out of the gun.
Not into the enemy or into the sky, but into the hopes and dreams.of this life.
The bullet in the gun will protect you my son, is what God is now telling this soldier who's already done.
