Brown Sugar Poem by Ardimus Caldwell

Brown Sugar

Stolen kisses
wrapped around my neck
tasting the forbiden fruit
of Adam and Eve's desturction
the devil's poison
sent in form of delious pure tenderness
and when they say hell have no fury like a womans heart
i think they mean
hell have no fury like her kiss
because when she kisses me
i swear my heart skips a beat
so i die only for a moment
until i'm reborn in her arms
and i'm alive again
her kiss leaves me breathless
like an empty vessel with compassion and accptance as air
it's hard to breath without you
the taste of you left lingering on my lips
that i don't want you to go but it's time taste
that i hope you call back after this first date taste
that i love you kind of taste
that i hope you love me back but i don't really care because i'm just going put my heart out there on my shirt like clark kent changing to superman taste
that when i kiss you i taste the next 60 years of our lives taste
she was stapled to my thoughts
i couldn't forget her
the taste of brown sugar
