Ardimus Caldwell Poems

Another lonely night where I watch t.v alone
To have all these channels but nobody to share them with
To hold a laugh with on the funny movies
Not even somebody there to listen to the ESPN man talk
...

2.

The thoughts you bring to me when you call
The joy you bring when you say 'hello'
The smile you put on my face when we begin to talk
How you make my eyes wide when i see you
...

You got me forever
now it slow
let our lips touch
no need for blood to raise
...

Stolen kisses
wrapped around my neck
tasting the forbiden fruit
of Adam and Eve's desturction
...

The way her lips poked out from her face, so beautiful
The way her hair laid across her face
Just those few strades of hair would do it
So beautiful
...

The first time i ran into love
Her fingers clenched so tight around the throat of monsters
She was choking cancer
Lips perked up
...

I don't want to worry about losing you
Being to socially connected to misguiding networks that we shape our lives to
Take a step back into the 1800's and do this like real people use to do
Instead we hide behind our self pride and become scared of getting hurt
...

Yes i love you
the words that i say all are true
nothing else more to it
but if will not allow you to walk
...

Not seeing her for along time
But still on my mind as if we met yesterday
Tried forget
But still remembering more and more
...

The worst thing
is holding on to someone
who dosen't want to be held on to
a caged bird
...

How can this be
how hard is it to find that right girl
that girl who is sweet,
dosen't use it to trap and trick men into a web
...

Why must this lonely road
feel so cold
walking in circles that mean nothing
where ashes sweep my feet
...

For the heart is strong
a powerful muscle within the body
but out the body
when given to another
...

I bid you ado fair lady
good bye
good bye
thy ears have fallen
...

Can't think striaght
Brain in a twist
Wrapping the thoughts I had and throwing them out
Of my ears
...

Not making since of what's going through
Not waking up the same
More swet rolling down the face
Feel growing as if I am a child
...

It's easy to say it
It's easy to let those words slip out your mouth
It's easy for me to tell you how much I wanna be there
It's easy to say that i want you next to me
...

18.

I can't beleave you
How could you
Why did you take it
And now you want give it back
...

Coming through
Moving roads
Twisting cities
Grading and shaking counties
...

20.

Not knowing right from left
Not knowing wrong from right
Can't look up or down
Dreaming starting to filter in with life
...

Another Lonely Night

Another lonely night where I watch t.v alone
To have all these channels but nobody to share them with
To hold a laugh with on the funny movies
Not even somebody there to listen to the ESPN man talk
No one to fight with over the remote
I press the power button and watch all alone
I press it again and I turn it off
Another Lonely Night

Another lonely night where I eat alone
At the head of table with without a head to see it with
Table set for more
More than me but here I sit all alone
Another Lonely Night

Another loonely night where the fone has went silent
Not a peep at all
It's been quiter than me in this lonely place
No one I can talk to
Not even for a minute or just a few seconds
Another Lonely Night

Another night where nobody's in my room
To hold on to
To wrap my arms around
To tell that everything's going to be ok
So I turn
On my side
The moon has fallen asleep
It is alone as well as I am
I close my eyes just like the other nights
My lips untouched just like those other nights
Arms waiting for something to fill in the slot
Thy heart feel cold for someone to give it the fire it once had
I close my eyes once more ending
A Lonely Night
