Broken Tiara Poem by Frankie Nova

Broken Tiara

And so lays the broken ornament
in the stillness
of its eerie surroundings

Salty residue still lingers
on the prongs that once
spoke tomorrow

A faint sob echoes to and fro
against the cold stone
now the womb and comforting bosom

She welcomes the darkness
with open arms her
true and faithful companion

Shadows wisp her away
in the gentle numbness
of the drifting hours

Solace comes when she
is blinded by nothingness
and succumbed by dreams

after all...

It was a dream
she had placed her whole heart
which longs to beat

No more.
