Broken She Poem by Nishi Kumari

Broken She

Rating: 4.7

Darkest the night was with
storms howling like demons
of nightmare..
Alone and afraid she kept
flying on slowly...
The little injured creature...
She was a sweet little innocent bird...
Her eyes reflecting the enormous
anxiety and pains she suffered since years...
She witnesses her round pearls of
tears every morning she wakes up..
But she walks barefoot in
the heavy rain hiding those
crystals in the veil of her smile..
Yes she owns a beautiful
bright smile, everyone says..
She says she is strong..
But experiences a tremulous
fear peeping her inside...
Shattered she is in a million
broken pieces..
Thousand lives insufficient to
build her up what she was
years back..
Ruthlessly tortured her heart
craves for the warmth she
felt long ago...
All her aspirations beheaded
one by one infront of her..
She kept watching silently...
She consoles herself lying to
her that she is hopeful...
Hopeful for the sun to
rise again and fill her
dismal days with the
sunshine of love...
But deep down she knows,
the sunset will never be over...
As she is the culprit for her own sadness...
She chose to walk in the
firey ways with bare feet...
Her eyes lost their light
sweeping away those tears...
May the Almighty gives her
strength to open her blind
fold eyes
and envisage the bitter reality...
May she not get vanished
forever fighting her own shadows..

May she not get vanished forever fighting her own shadows.. Hopeful for the sun to rise again and fill her dismal days with the sunshine of love... A ray of hope shines amidst bitter reality of life..so nicely penned. 10++

I read the first poem of Nishi Kumari and now I read her latest poem. The way she has felt a pain and the way she reacted in this poem tells me that she is born poetess. I don't know what her mother tongue is but if her mother tongue is an Indian language other than English, I think she should also write poems in her mother tongue. I hope one day she will be all known as a great poetess.
