Broken Love Poem by jess schwarcz

Broken Love

-to matt sevey-

As I lay here, after a while
O that one night, still makes me smile.
Remembering I made those wishes,
Remembering your special kisses.

It’s a love, a love that won't work out.
Not something we want to give a shout,
Not something we want to think about.
I do love you, and you do love me,
But it’s not something that will ever be.

You came over to be beside me
Not realize' that it was not to be.
Not realize' that we'd sleep together,
Only that we loved another.

Fake love messages we were sending
To our loved ones we were not tending.
It was both of us that were cheating
In the other way, it was leading.

It’s a love, a love that won't work out.
Not something we want to give a shout,
Not something we want to think about.
I do love you, and you do love me,
But it’s not something that will ever be.

To our loved ones we were hurting,
To bad people we were converting.
To our others they needed to know,
Even if they now treat us low.

Sweet matt, I will ever love you,
And I realize that you love me too.
Today and 'morrow, it won't work out,
Day after tomorrow, still a doubt.

It’s a love, a love that won't work out.
Not something we want to give a shout,
Not something we want to think about.
I do love you, and you do love me,
But it’s not something that will ever be.
Ever be It’s not something that will ever be.
