Broken Heart Bleeds Poem by Paul Sebastian

Broken Heart Bleeds

Rating: 5.0

My soul in pit darkness, groped
You brought hope with candle light
Before you I became real, exposed
As soul mate you caressed my heart

To my beloved, Solitary Rose
I give a blood-red bloomed rose
As a piece of a full-blooded heart
To renew love-vow at morn's start

In love season, warm as summer
We sun-bathed our very souls
Soaked passion would simmer
Vowed to be faithful till days of old

Now, petals are blood stained
Heart's seared, thorn-pierced
Soul longs, torn apart from mate
Silent darkness, my soul dreads
