Broken Poem by Cassie Lee

There hasn’t been a day when I have not thought of you
this nostalgia that I feel simply just won’t do

Through sleepless nights and empty days
I have lived my life in a daze
of broken love

I often daydream like a child
of winter days where love ran wild
with passion and promise

So many nights that I have cried
because our future was denied
our fates have led us separate ways

Unlike Romeo and Juliet
we live each day in deep regret

Memories of us will slowly fade away
as we move towards a brighter day.
