Brittany Poem by Ima Ryma

Brittany

Brittany had much to live for,
The love of friends and family.
Twenty nine years and dreams for more
Of time and place for memory.
But cancer came and hope did go.
All that was left was suffering,
With little time and place, and so
A will and way to choose dying,
A bucket list lived short and sweet,
Sharing people, places and things.
Then taking lethal drugs to meet
Death that legal suicide brings.

Brittany made her choice to die.
Just her maker should judge her why.
