Brittania

Regal courtyard yews
carvings of Celtic lore
Exiled weeping willows
fog-light shrouds the moor

Pagan sunlight sorcerer’s
practitioners of nature’s glory
precise festive treasures
stones align their story

Vast highland forests
spirals of pine mature
clever elfish spirits
rare emeralds have allure

Arthur knights Lancelot
ambition wields the flail
Mordred Sieges Camelot
Galahad discovers the grail

Science challenges magic
Merlin relinquishes the stage
drama becomes tragic
Shakespeare empowers the page

Kingdoms risk indulgence
Henry divorces the church
Arrogance begets decadence
Humility begins its search

Revolution through expansion
a chrysalis from enlightenment
Wellington thwarts Napoleon
ambition leads to banishment
