Breath In The Wind Poem by Scott Forsberg

Breath In The Wind

Feeling like trash torn and tattered
tossed away like nothing ever mattered
leaving a loving heart, lonely and shattered
believing it really mattered when nothing did
left behind like a breath in the wind
without turning back, in the arms of another
a shell of a man stands hollow and battered
as if he ever mattered

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My fiance left me after being together for seven years. This is how I felt about the break up.
