Bound To Happen
I knew it would happen -
sooner or later.
I just kept hoping for later -
much later.
I should have known from past experience
it was bound to happen.
Always figured they’d be here forever.
Can’t seem to break the habit though.
Up at the crack of dawn
for their arrival in September,
only to discover -
my favorite cartoon shows -
CANCELLED! !
