Borrowed Love

Borrowed Love

As we begin on this journey
of desires to fulfill
Remember as we lay
that a woman I am still
No matter how well I know
the truth of what we do
I will pretend, until my hearts content
that I am in love with you
And please, to me,
this favor oblige
As we touch and caress
and you look into my eyes
Allow me, if only for one moment,
to believe
That the one you truly are in love with
is me.

An interesting reversal of the usual situation. Briefly and clearly expressed. Good writing.
