Bonefire For Love

A lot of that ivory
was ages-old 'fossil' stuff
of less value than fresh:
found in a cave
hidden from the greed of the Ivory Age,
for more later,
for hate or religious belief;

or the elephants' graveyard was found
and plundered of its worth less tusks
for a huge Bonefire For Love.

But would they so do
to as much fresh stuff too?
