Bluebeard Poem by Tom Billsborough

Bluebeard

Rating: 2.8

Knowing skulls, too lately wise, provide the final
Nightmare and the girls, cauterized by screams,
Close up the charnel chamber,
Thankful to survive.

Image result for charnel house A charnel house is a vault or building where human skeletal remains are stored. They are often built near churches for depositing bones that are unearthed while digging graves. The term can also be used more generally as a description of a place filled with death and destruction. i could use one of those. ya know i HAD three wives before this one! bri :) i do not plan, in Sapphic form, to write, i write what i do, but on this i won't bite. you are welcome to play all you wish, and meanwhile i'll have dessert....in a dish.

Only ever seen one Charnel house in the Mosel valley in Germany, under the floor of a small church. Great place to bring your dogs. Not sure how many Bluebeard disposed of. Cheaper than divorce. Aw, don't nick the dessert. That's mine especially Tiramasu. Maybe that's where his wives went wrong, nicking his Tiramasus. Tom
